BACK TO SCHOOL

RETURNING STUDENTS

What do I need to do before back to school? If you attended Perry Public Schools in 2024-2025, you will need to update your information in the parent portal (Sylogist) and sign the new agreements for the 2025-2026 school year. Schedules/Class Assignments will not be released until the enrollment verification has been completed by the primary parent/guardian.

Log into the parent portal and navigate to the student records portal to complete the verification process.

You will receive an email once your enrollment verification has been posted and is complete. If you have questions about whether you have completed the enrollment verification, please contact your school site.

SCHOOL SUPPLY LISTS

Junior high and high school supply lists will be provided to students by their teachers on the first day of school. We encourage parents to wait until after the first day of school before buying supplies, as each teacher has a specific list of supplies that students will need for their particular classes.

CHILD NUTRITION

Perry Public Schools is encouraging all parents/guardians to complete the free and reduced lunch application if they feel they may qualify based on household size and income. Even if you think your family doesn’t qualify, all applications submitted help the school obtain state aid funding, which directly ties into every district program and

department, including instruction, athletics, technology, etc.

Students MAY be eligible for Free or Reduced if they receive Medicaid. As a reminder, applications must be resubmitted every year in order to continue to receive meal benefits.

The district is strongly encouraging parents/guardians to have online applications completed by Sept. 21 to ensure they are processed and approved by Oct. 1.

The Free and Reduced lunchroom application is available to submit on the Parent Portal or download a printer-friendly PDF on the school website after August 1, 2025. Paper copies are also available at each school site office or in the Child Nutrition office. A new application must be submitted every school year.

Note: If you are already on SNAP or Medicaid, you can automatically qualify by entering your case number. Please complete the top portion of the application with student name, grade, birthdate, case number, and parent/guardian signature - and you’re all done! If you are interested in applying for SNAP, we can help with that too.
