Bond Updates
A school bond issue was passed by voters in the November 2018 election. Since then, the school board and administration have been busy investing in the future of Perry Public Schools. The $25 million bond package covers construction of the new junior high building and the Maroon Athletic Center, and also focuses on upgrading school facilities, technology, transportation, academics, safety and security.
Bond project updates are posted below and progress photos will continue to be added to this page throughout the bond cycle.
Update - August 2022
A promised bond-funded project was a necessary renovation to the aging roof at the Perry Upper Elementary School. As of August 25, 2022 they sprayed a protective silicone coating to repair and seal problem areas, minimize leaks, lower energy costs, and extend the life of the roof. Plus, it gives it a much-needed fresh, new look! Pictured here is one of three coats that will be applied.

Progress on the NEW Junior High & Maroon Athletic Center
A community open house of the new facility was hosted by Perry Public Schools on December 2, 2021. The Perry Chamber of Commerce conducted a ribbon cutting ceremony during the event. Jason Proctor, School Board President and representatives from Selser Schaefer Architects and Joe D. Hall Construction shared a few words during the presentation. Hundreds of community members attended to tour the new junior high school and athletic center.
