Strong Readers Act
The Strong Readers Act (formerly known as the Reading Sufficiency Act, or RSA) outlines literacy requirements for students beginning in kindergarten.
The Strong Readers Act aims to strengthen literacy among Oklahoma’s students by integrating reading proficiency into the criteria for grade progression, ensuring appropriate instructional support, and maintaining clear communication with families about student progress. 70 O.S. § 1210.508B(B)
In accordance with Oklahoma statute 70 O.S. § 1210.508C(J), school districts are required to post data from the previous school year on their school website by September 1 of each year.
