A ceremonial check was presented to highlight the program, which is made possible by the Malzahn Family Affiliated Fund through the Perry Education Foundation. The technology grant ensures each Perry Public Schools site receives updated technology on a four-year rotation, supporting both student learning and instructional innovation.
PEF President Grady Parmley led the presentation, emphasizing the competitive advantage the grant provides Perry Public Schools and the meaningful impact it has on students and staff alike. This year marks the completion of the district-wide technology cycle, with Perry High School being the final site to receive updates. The new equipment includes Google Chromebooks for students, all new smart boards, as well as new laptops and monitors for teachers and staff.
Senator Chuck Hall was also in attendance and provided an update on the state of education in Oklahoma, including current legislative efforts surrounding school funding.
In addition to facilitating the technology grant, the Perry Education Foundation holds a semi-annual grant process open to all Perry Public Schools instructors. Through these grants, teachers can apply for funding to support classroom and instructional needs, helping bring new ideas and resources to students.
With a clear focus and renewed enthusiasm, the Foundation remains committed to equipping teachers with the tools necessary to prepare students for success. In support of the dedicated efforts of Perry Public Schools teachers and staff, PEF continues to fund supplemental programs that enrich the educational experience.
