Ten delegates from the Perry High School Student Council, along with advisors Ms. Schieffer and Ms. Budig, attended the Oklahoma Association of Student Councils (OASC) State Convention at Ponca City High School, held November 1–3.
The three-day event featured keynote speakers, student-led breakout sessions, and hands-on leadership activities designed to inspire and equip student leaders from across Oklahoma.
The convention opened with an exhibit hall filled with booths representing colleges and leadership organizations. Among them were the OU High School Leadership Conference (HSLC) and OSU President’s Leadership Council (PLC), both represented by Perry alumni Meagan Rames and Korben Heister, respectively.
Perry’s own Student Council leaders also took the stage to share their experiences. Seniors Bella Porter, Jaylynn Malcolm, Violet Nolte, and Audra Coldiron led a breakout rotation on philanthropy, highlighting the school’s long-standing MAD (Make A Difference) Week tradition and the impact of giving back to the community.
From presenting at breakout sessions to connecting with Perry alumni and peers from across the state, PHS Student Council had much to be proud of during the weekend of leadership and learning.
