Throughout the week, students enjoyed themed dress-up days and tested their knowledge with teacher trivia. On Wednesday, juniors and seniors attended the College and Trade Fair, where they connected with representatives from colleges, trade schools, and military branches.
On Thursday, seniors were treated to lunch provided by the Oklahoma Army National Guard. During this lunch, prizes were drawn based on participation throughout the week. Prizes included laptops, Rokus, Bluetooth speakers, gift cards, and more.
Mrs. Courtney Martinez, PHS Career Development Specialist, emphasized the importance of the event: “College and Trade Week gives our students the chance to see firsthand the variety of options available after high school. Whether their path leads to a university, a trade school, the military, or directly into the workforce, this week is about preparing them to make informed decisions about their future.”
Perry High School extends a special thank you to First Bank & Trust, Exchange Bank, and Kumback Lunch for their generous gift card donations that helped make this week’s events possible.
College and Trade Week is a fun and meaningful way to celebrate students’ futures and give them hands-on opportunities to explore the many paths available after high school. College and Trade Week is hosted by the Perry High School Counseling office, led by Martinez and Mrs. Tiffany Nelson, Perry High School Counselor.
