WEATHER UPDATE: Blackwell has cancelled their classes on Monday 1/22. Monday’s JH basketball tournament games are postponed until Thursday. The bracket times will stay the same for Thursday and they will accommodate game times on Friday. Planning on starting at 10 am Friday.

Two Home Games Remain for JH Maroons Basketball
The Perry Junior High basketball teams are nearing the end of their season. Upcoming, they will play in the Blackwell tournament on January 25-27. The first round of games scheduled for the tournament are listed below and full brackets can be viewed on the school website basketball page.
THURSDAY, Jan. 25 at Blackwell (UPDATED DUE TO WEATHER POSTPONEMENT):
- 1pm - 6th/7th girls vs. Blackwell (MS gym)
- 2pm - 6th/7th boys vs. Newkirk (MS gym)
- 5pm - 8th boys vs. Blackwell A (HS gym)
- 6pm - 8th girls vs. Blackwell A (HS gym)
New for Perry, this is the first year for the 6th graders to participate in junior high athletics, “It’s been a great opportunity for the 6th graders to get playing time and experience on the court,” says Coach Kade Gottschalk, PJH Lady Maroons basketball coach. “We’ve seen a tremendous amount of improvement from each individual player, and as a team, as the season has progressed. I am excited to see what the future holds for this group."
The remaining two games will be played at home on February 1 when they host Tonkawa at 4:30 p.m. and on February 5 when they host Morrison at 5 p.m.
Coach Grant Ducker, PJH Maroons basketball coach added, "All the junior high teams have grown and continued to work hard at bettering their game of basketball. With the 6th grade being with us this year we have a great group of players who are working hard to be the future of the Perry Maroons basketball program."
The team and coaches hope to see many fans come out for their remaining two home games in the first week of February. Make plans to show your support and encouragement for these young Maroons!
