High School Chess Club
FUN FACT: Did you know we have a Chess Club? High school students meet every Thursday during the lunch hour in PHS room 225 to learn more about the game of chess. It is facilitated by math teacher, Dr. Bond.
Chess is known to help develop skills that contribute to success in many aspects of mental and social development, including memory, focus, creativity, planning, and self-awareness. It also lends to some ‘mathematical thinking’ as well. All students have an open invitation and are welcome to jump in a game on Thursdays!
