The baseball game at Luther has been rescheduled to April 6th at 4:30 p.m.

It’s National School Librarian Day and we are so thankful for our librarians and library aides!

Track is currently selling gourmet popcorn to raise money for their program. The funds will be used for uniforms, travel costs, entry fees, and equipment for the JH and HS teams. As of Monday morning, there are still 26 juniors who have NOT turned in the ACT informed consent. It is due before they can take the ACT test this Tuesday, April 5. If students do not turn it in, they cannot take the ACT and will have to do a different day. This ACT is part of their graduation requirements.

Perry Junior High is hosting a Scholastic Book Fair next week, April 4-8th. It’s been several years since the junior high has had a book fair, so it’s very exciting to offer this event to students in the new library! Parents, guardians and family members of PJH students can visit the Book Fair between 8:30-11 a.m. and 12-3 p.m. each day next week. Parents should pick up a “VIP Book Fair Pass” at the JH office when they enter the building. Online shopping is also available at: https://www.scholastic.com/bf/perryjuniorhighschool. All purchases benefit PJH.

Here’s a glance at the month of April. Students are out of school on Friday, April 1 for staff professional development and there is no school on Friday, April 15 (holiday).

The 2021-2022 Teacher of the Year will be announced at a reception on Monday, April 18 at 3:45 p.m. in the Lower Elementary School library. Each school site has selected their candidate to be in the running for the district-wide Teacher of the Year, which is voted on by all certified teachers in the school district. Congratulations to this year’s finalists: Stacy Ruth (Lower Elem), Tracey Edwards (Upper Elem), Laddie Rupp (JH), and Paul Duncan (HS). The award reception will also recognize the Support Staff of the Year, which includes a representative selected from each building site.
