PHS Senior Rylan Rodgers Selected as National FFA Reporter

Perry High School student Rylan Rodgers has been selected to serve as a National FFA Reporter for Oklahoma, earning a unique opportunity to share the stories of FFA members, agricultural education, and communities across the state. Rodgers is one of just four students in Oklahoma selected for this role.

As a National FFA Reporter, Rodgers will help highlight the people and experiences that make FFA and agriculture an important part of communities throughout Oklahoma. She looks forward to sharing stories from her hometown and county while showcasing the impact of FFA members and agricultural education.

“As a National FFA Reporter, I’ll have the opportunity to share what is happening in my town, my county, and across Oklahoma. I’ll be able to tell the stories of FFA members, agriculture, and the people making an impact in their communities,” Rodgers said. “I’m excited to use my voice to highlight the great things happening around me and help others see the impact that FFA and agriculture have across Oklahoma.”

Rodgers' selection builds on her experience serving as a chapter reporter, where she developed an appreciation for sharing the accomplishments of FFA members and highlighting the opportunities the organization provides. She wanted to expand that experience and reach a broader audience while continuing to support a cause she is passionate about.

“I also have a strong passion for agricultural education,” Rodgers said. “I believe ag education is such an important part of a student’s high school experience because it gives students opportunities to learn, lead, and find something they are passionate about. One day, I hope to advocate for agricultural education and help make sure students have access to those opportunities.”

Perry High School Agricultural Education Instructor Lexy Dietz praised Rodgers for her work ethic, leadership, and willingness to support others.

“I would say that Rylan Rodgers is a hard worker, intelligent and a get-it-done type of girl. She will do anything that you ask of her! She is a great teammate, friend and student! I can’t wait to see what she will do in the future!” Dietz said.

In her new role, Rodgers is especially excited to connect with FFA members across Oklahoma and the country, learn from their experiences, and build relationships through new opportunities. She also looks forward to traveling and meeting people she might not otherwise have the chance to meet through FFA.

“Most of all, I’m excited to represent Oklahoma and share the stories of the people who make Oklahoma FFA so special,” Rodgers said.

Rodgers expressed gratitude for the people who have supported her throughout her FFA journey and emphasized how much the organization has contributed to her personal growth and leadership development.

“I’m incredibly honored to have been selected as a National FFA Reporter for Oklahoma. FFA has given me so many opportunities to grow as a person and a leader, and I’m excited for the opportunity to give back by representing an organization that has had such a meaningful impact on my life,” Rodgers said.

PPS congratulates Rylan on this outstanding accomplishment and looks forward to seeing her represent Oklahoma and share the stories of FFA members and agricultural communities throughout her service as a National FFA Reporter.
