Summer Pride Workouts Begin June 8

Perry Public Schools will kick off its Summer Pride program on June 8, giving students entering grades 6-12 an opportunity to stay active, build strength, and prepare for the upcoming school year.

Summer Pride workouts will take place Monday through Thursday throughout the summer. Junior high and high school boys will meet from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., while junior high and high school girls will train from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. OSSAA dead week will be observed June 27 through July 5 - there will be NO summer pride during this time.

The program is open to all students in grades 6-12, and students do not have to participate in athletics during the school year to join.

Throughout the summer, students will participate in a variety of activities designed to improve overall fitness, including agility drills, speed and conditioning exercises, weight training, endurance work, flexibility training, and team-building activities. Coaches and staff will work with students to help them safely improve strength, athletic performance, and confidence.

Summer Pride is designed to help students stay motivated, develop healthy habits, and continue building relationships with teammates and classmates during the summer months.

PPS encourages all eligible students to participate and take advantage of this opportunity to get stronger, faster, and ready for the year ahead.
