Perry Golf Teams Compete At Pioneer Mustang Invitational

The Perry High School boys and girls golf teams competed in the Pioneer Mustang Invitational Tournament this week at Meadowlake Golf Course in Enid.

The Maroon boys team delivered a strong performance, finishing second overall with a team score of 324. Leading the way for Perry was Ethan Cecil, who shot a 76 to tie for second place individually.

Sawyer Vollmer also turned in a solid round, carding a 79 to secure seventh place, while Kian Thompson finished ninth with a score of 80. Mason Duke and Cash Welliver rounded out the Maroon lineup with scores of 89 and 91, respectively.

On the girls side, Sara Shade led the Lady Maroons with a score of 106, followed closely by teammate Rylan Rodgers, who shot a 107.

Perry’s golf teams will return to action soon, with the Lady Maroons set to compete April 7 in Perkins, while the Maroon boys will travel to Kingfisher for their next tournament on April 8.
