PPT Receives Donation from Seth Wadley Chevrolet of Perry

The Perry Parents and Teachers (PPT) organization recently received a generous $5,000 donation from Seth Wadley Chevrolet of Perry to support programs and activities benefiting Perry’s elementary students.

PPT is a volunteer organization made up of parents, guardians, grandparents, and educators who work together to support Perry Lower and Upper Elementary Schools, serving students from Pre-Kindergarten through sixth grade. The group is dedicated to strengthening the partnership between families and schools through meaningful parent involvement, open communication with school leadership, and purposeful fundraising efforts that enrich student learning and support educators.

Throughout the year, PPT provides resources, activities, and events for students and staff. Their largest annual event, the Holiday Shop, was held last week and allowed all 575 elementary students the opportunity to shop for Christmas gifts for family and friends. This year, PPT also introduced quarterly “Woot Woot Wagons,” a fun and spirited way to celebrate students who reach their nine-week academic goals while providing treats for all students.

Additional PPT initiatives include organizing family night events during fall and spring book fairs, providing meals for teachers during parent-teacher conferences, and supporting classroom resources and playground improvements whenever possible.

On December 8, Guy Taylor of Seth Wadley Chevrolet presented the donation check to PPT President Ashley Fitzsimmons, alongside Lower Elementary Principal Jennifer Shields and Upper Elementary Principal Tanner Miller. The funds will be used to sponsor the upcoming “Woot Woot Wagon” on December 18 and to enhance academic support opportunities and resources in the spring.

PPT extends its sincere appreciation to Seth Wadley Chevrolet of Perry for their generous contribution and continued investment in the success of Perry’s students.
