BASKETBALL PREPARES FOR REGIONALS

The Perry High School basketball teams closed out the regular season and rolled right into playoffs on Friday, Feb. 17. They traveled to Tulsa to play Cascia Hall Prep School in the district game matchup. 
 
The Lady Maroons defeated Cascia Hall on Friday night to claim the OSSAA Class 3A District Championship title. The team battled to victory with a final score of 45-32. 
 
In the boys game, the Maroons played a tough Cascia Hall team and came up short to seed them as the runner-up heading into the regional tournament. 
 
Perry will be a host site for the OSSAA Class 3A Area I Regional Tournament on Thursday, February 23 through Saturday, February 25. There will be four games played each day of the tournament and all games will be played at the Maroon Athletic Center, located at 903 North 15th Street (gym is located inside the Perry Junior High School). 
 
The Maroons will meet Newkirk in the first round of the regional consolation bracket on Thursday, February 23 at 3 p.m. The Lady Maroons are placed in the winners bracket and will face Alva High School on Thursday at 6 p.m.
