RETIREMENT RECEPTION

Martha Metcalf has been as a paraprofessional at Perry Public Schools for the past 20 years. She has served students at all four sites - Perry High School, Junior High, Upper Elementary and Lower Elementary Schools. Prior to joining Perry Schools full time, she was a substitute teacher and also spent some time as a nurses aid in Oklahoma City. Upon retirement, she plans to work in her garden and do a little traveling. 
 
 
Dr. Andrea Rains announces her retirement after a 37-year career in education. While at Perry Public Schools, she was the Junior High Principal for five years and the district's Executive Director of State and Federal Programs for the past two years. During the course of her career, she has served students as a classroom teacher in Pre-K, 1st, 2nd, and 5th grades and as an elementary and secondary principal, spending much of her career at Stillwater Schools before joining Perry. Andrea looks forward to enjoying the extra time to host family gatherings, travel with her husband, play with grandchildren, teach Bible Studies, write, bake, and garden.
 
 
Kenda Williams is retiring after teaching 19 years at Perry Public Schools. She spent two years teaching Pre-K and the other 17 years teaching kindergarten, shaping the minds of the littlest Maroons. She has devoted her career to working with young children, running a home daycare and a private preschool prior to teaching full time. Upon retirement, Mr. & Mrs. Williams plan to move to Owasso to live near their children and grandchildren.
