Parents are such a key to help their child's success with their education I am happy to meet with parents anytime to help with their child�s education. If the school hours do not meet your needs I will be happy to meet with parents in the evening as long as I have 24 hour notice. My job has many hats
I work with staff, parents and most important our students.
I assist students with crisis in their lives.
I meet with students on a weekly basis to help with their individual needs.
I work with students on college/career choices, assist students with all types of college/scholarships applications.
FAFSA free federal financial aid application is another application I work with parents/students to complete.
I attend classrooms to make presentations concerning college/career opportunities, decisions making skills, daily living skills, how to complete job applications, how to "standout" on an application.
Develop advisory lessons for the staff to work with their student advisory group.
Administer Testing ACT, PLAN, Explore. State Mandated Testing, PSAT,
Develop & Complete Master Scheduling: assist students with course selection, meet with parents during enrollment, meet with parents on college/career planning, meet with parents to help assist their child with better study habits, how to improve their grades.
Meet with Staff concerning students and concerns.
This is just to name a few of the responsibilities I have in the counseling office.
